Situational awareness is the skillset and abilities required to observe, analyze, and react to different stimuli in our lives to maximize safety. Situational awareness is your mental picture of what is going on around you. It allows you to observe what is going on, orient yourself to the situation and surroundings. When you are alert and aware, you can decide if any action is necessary to remain safe.

This course will provide attendees with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and assess threats in everyday environments correctly. Topics covered include situational awareness in your home, workplace, and community.

This course uses a combination of presentation, exercises, and knowledge assessments to deliver and reinforce concepts.
